The ten steps

  1. Notice — five things you can see, four things you can feel, three things you can hear, two things you can smell, one thing you can taste.
  2. Close your eyes.
  3. Check in with your physical body — neck movements, shoulder rolls, releasing the stomach, hand exercises, jaw movements, breathing into the chest.
  4. Notice your feelings without judgment and imagine releasing them.
  5. Imagine a healing light filled with whatever you need most.
  6. Step into that light.
  7. Repeat three affirmations — “I am calm and clear,” “I choose peace,” “I am capable of change and growth.”
  8. Reflect on three positive things and one thing you’d like to manifest.
  9. Box breathing — in for four, hold for four, out for four, hold for four.
  10. Return statement — “I am ready to start again.”
